Ferrosilicon manganes also known as silicon manganese alloy or SiMn.
Silicon Manganese mainly as an additive in iron and steel production,and is also the main raw material for medium and low carbon ferro manganese production.
It’s alloy is compose Mn,Si,Fe and a small amount of carbon and other elements,and a kind of ferroalloy with wide application and large output.

The consumption of silicomanganese accounts for the second place of ferroalloy products in EAF.
The affinity of manganese and silicon in silicomanganese alloy with oxygen is strong.
When silicomanganese alloy is used in steelmaking,the melting points of the deoxidation products mnsio3 and mn2sio4 are 1270 ℃ and 1327 ℃ respectively,which have the advantages of low melting point, large particles, easy floating and good deoxidation effect.
Usage:
According to different steel grades,the high volume is about 25kg per ton,however the low volume is about 5kg.
The amount of alloy added and the type of alloy vary greatly with different steel grades, so it should be calculated according to the composition required by steel grades.
Granularity size of silicon manganese:
10-60mm, 10-100mm, other powder or particle size can be processed.
It’s perfect alloying agent,compound deoxidizer and desulfurizer in steel making and casting industry.
