What BRIGHT ALLOYS ferrosilicon used for?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

(1) Ferrosilicon is an essential deoxidizer in steelmaking industry.In steelmaking,ferrosilicon is used for precipitation deoxidation and diffusion deoxidation,and about 3-5 kg of 75% ferrosilicon is consumed per ton of steel produced.<\/p>\n

(2) It is used as inoculant and nodularizing agent in cast iron industry.In the production of nodular cast iron,75% ferrosilicon is a very important inoculant (helping to precipitate graphite) and nodularizing agent.<\/p>\n

    Casting use Ferrosilicon as Inoculant:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Grain sizes can be used not only in the steel-making industry,but also in the cast iron industry.<\/p>\n

    This is mainly because particles can be used by cast iron manufacturers to replace inoculants and spheroidizing agents.Moreover in the cast iron industry,the price of ferro silicon particles is much lower than that of steel,and it is easier to melt,thus a ferrosilicon product with high-quality casting ability.<\/p>\n

    High quality ferro silicon inoculant with uniform particle size and good inoculation effect in casting can promote the precipitation and spheroidization of graphite,so it is a necessary metallurgical material for the production of nodular cast iron.<\/p>\n

    In general,for gray cast iron,the addition amount of particles is 0.2 ~ 0.5%,for nodular cast iron,the addition of ferrosilicon particles is generally 0.5 ~ 1.1%;<\/p>\n
